Trip to Gokarna
A serene town in the Uttar Kannada district of Karnataka, Gokarna is amazing.There are many activities from beach surfing to visiting an ancient temple, there are many things to do in Gokarna. Gokarna is a fascinating town with pristine beaches and significant shrines. Unwind yourself into the golden evenings and mornings, amazingly beautiful sunrises and sunsets, or just find solace in the ancient temples of Gokarna.`
Beaches
It is practically not possible to go everywhere. We visited the main #Gokarna Temple Beach and spent maximum time on kudle beach only. In the small town , if you are going with kids and elderly parents, do not forget to take basic medicines and first aid kit. The place is much better and more beautiful than Goa. Om beach is 6 kms from Gokarna city centre. Gokarna is 500 kms from Bengaluru and 230 kms from Mangaluru. Goa is the nearest airport (150 kms from Gokarna). Ankola is the nearest railway station (19 kms). From Gokarna city, auto or taxi can be hired to reach Om Beach. Om Beach takes the shape of an ‘Om’, a Hindu spiritual symbol. In the shape of two crescents joined together to form an Om, the beach offers a breathtaking view of the sunset. DO NOT FORGET TO BRING COMFORTABLE SHOES AND CLOTHES ALONG WITH SUNSCREEN.

Mahableshwar Temple
The lovely little town of Gokarna in the Uttar Kannada district of Karnataka is famous for its pristine beaches and classical temples. The Mahabaleshwar Temple, Gokarna is one of the most visited temples in the town. This shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Gokarna is known as Dakshin Kashi (Kashi of the South).
